The big issue for us is reminders...

This particular customer wants to use the Quote as their main working 
entity in the CRM and they'd like to be able to assign events to it so 
they can be reminded that they said they'd contact the customer, or 
update the quote or whatever... And who am I to say that's wrong?

I don't understand why there should be a seemingly arbitrary decision to 
limit Events to only certain modules when there is no reminder function 
on Tasks. Every business we deal with is different and they all want to 
work in different ways. This kind of arbitrary/hard-coded restriction is 
simply limiting the flexibility of the platform.
