Yes we are talking about the same tool. It is true that the install is 
not very easy but then, using it is very good and quick!
Yes it is possible to generate documents (pdf, doc, xls, ppt, ....) from 
Vtiger and you can also attach these files to email sent from Vtiger.

If you want I can make you a quote to install this system on your server.

    Easy? You must install (java with tomcat?), and you can use this
    only like external report (you cant generate from Vtiger(?). I hope
    that we are talking about the same program.

        Because it's very easy to create PDF patterns with BIRT without
        programming.
        It works quite like "Word".

            next run cron.
