And are you able to generate pdf, doc, xls, ppt, ps, .... with the same 
PHP/SQL code?

    In that case, you do not need BIRT, all you can in PHP/SQL.

                    Easy? You must install (java with tomcat?), and you
                    can use this only like external report (you cant
                    generate from Vtiger(?). I hope that we are talking

                        Because it's very easy to create PDF patterns
                        with BIRT without programming.
                        It works quite like "Word".
