[Vtigercrm-developers] What is the intended use of "from URL" document upload?

Hi everyone,

When you want to create a document in Vtiger, you have 3 options:
1) "To Vtiger"
2) "From File URL"
3) "Create New Document":

When using "From File Url" only the url string is saved in the document
record:

[image: image.png]

But the preview and download functions do not work.

Is that how it is supposed to work? Am I doing something wrong?
