[Vtigercrm-developers] Public download link for Document

I feel if the system is behind firewall/VPN etc. a custom rule could be
defined to allow an entrypoint.

I would always in the first step avoid the idea of integration with other
services.

Otherwise there are 2 main benefits/scopes:

- in Workflow email tasks, we can include a Documents's download link. Such
as for the email responses to webform submissions
- we can track the download action by a customer and take actions
