Hi, a fork it's a big step, not easy to manage and require a big effort
(and money).
I suggest to create something to support vtiger community until vtiger open
source is mantained, then if open source project is closed from vtiger team
could be a good starting point for a new CRM.
This new project from community can work, with rules suggested from
Sutharstan, to get these goals:
1 - vtiger documentation for user / developer
2 - some open source module for vtiger (no core modification, something
compatible with module manager)
This also in my opinion could be a good field where community can
collaborate to grow up!
Then if vtiger is mantained it's something that can help vtiger, if not
mantained (but I hope Vtiger team will invest again in open source) we can
discuss if create a community driven fork.

Do you think could be a good idea?
