well I was pleased to see Prasad merged a bunch of stuff on 
code.vtiger.com at the weekend - doing that is a big motivator in terms 
of contributing new stuff, I do agree with a lot of what Błażej says 
though. I would like to see things moving faster and the open source 
product being the proving ground for things that end up in the stable 
hosted edition, that way we could do the development work on modules and 
have them tested so they work first time in the hosted edition. I do 
understand that making a success of the cloud version does take a lot of 
attention, but if the core development that feeds into the cloud version 
was the open source project then there would be a lot less merging and 
backporting work to do.
