[Vtigercrm-developers] Bug in Current/Previous Week options in Reports?

In 6.4.0 you seems to have addressed the specific issue I reported here: 
http://trac.vtiger.com/cgi-bin/trac.cgi/ticket/8547

Yet you appear to have completely ignored the suggested patch (below) 
from Błażej which could have removed (as a guess) a couple of thousand 
lines of duplicated code? Why?
