[Vtigercrm-developers] Vtiger + Bootstrap = Full responsive

Jonathan,

Responsive design has been on TODO list as well - but pipe of tasks has not
made us move on it although our UXD team are pushing us very hard.

The default layout of 6.1 has kind-of tight coupling
with Bootstrap 2.x and jQuery that needs a refactoring.

The options we had internally discussed were:

1. Refactor the default layout - which has kind of tight coupling on
Bootstrap 2.x and jQuery conventions.

2. Redo the layout with desired standardization - with Bootstrap 3.x and
jQuery.

Both these would required dedicated effort - that is not possible in short
term. Considering that we have other server-side features to focus on.

Vtiger 6.x platform provides the option to induce more than 1-layout. This
isn't enabled by default (may need some work for completeness).

You can experiment with new layout. If we can successfully enable
multi-layout support then we can then enable the option to install layout
through Extension Store like language pack.

This means no waiting on integration with product. I'm sure it would also
open the door for new opportunities to work.
