Hi All,

I raised a question with Google recently after reading their updated 
Terms & Conditions for the Google Maps API [1].

It seems like there has been a change recently whereby to use the free 
API the implementation of Google Maps must essentially have 2 core 
attributes:

1. Free to use
2. Be publicly accessible

This means that, from our discussions so far with Google, that if you 
want to use GeoTools inside your business (i.e. not on the public 
internet) then you will need a Google Maps for Enterprise license - 
which is not cheap!

We've not quite finished our discussions with them but I thought I 
should say something...

So my immediate take on this, is we should probably consider migrating 
the tool to OSM sooner rather than later...
