[Vtigercrm-developers] enhanced email template tags

Hi there,

 

We're just about to enhance the email template tags, but before we did I
just wanted to see if anyone else has done this already (no point doing the
same thing again!)

 

What we'll be doing is basically adding the same tag functionality to email
template as in the workflow email templates. That is:

 

1.       Use the same one step selection list as in workflow email templates
- so you place you cursor in the position you want the tag, select a tag
from the list and it's automatically entered

2.       Use one long list with all the possible related field tags.

 

Another option is to use a similar system to the pdf maker from its4U where
we have the module first then the related modules below, but for that system
you need a minum of 3 clicks for the module fields and 6 click for a related
field.

 

We will be releasing the enhancement to the community once completed.
