[Vtigercrm-developers] Error Message When trying to connect to vtiger web services using Visual Studio

Below is the error message I receive when I try to add a reference to the vtiger web service. Any help resolving this would be appreciated.
The document at the url http://www.citiesdigital.com/crm/vtigerservice.php?service=customerportal&wsdl was not recognized as a known document type.
The error message from each known type may help you fix the problem:
- Report from 'DISCO Document' is 'Discovery document at the URL http://www.citiesdigital.com/crm/vtigerservice.php?service=customerportal&wsdl could not be found.'.
- The document format is not recognized.
- Report from 'WSDL Document' is 'There is an error in XML document (10, 4).'.
- The element was not expected in this context: <xsd:restriction xmlns:xsd='http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema'>..</xsd:restriction>. Expected elements: http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema:annotation, http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema:complexContent, http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema:simpleContent, http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema:group, http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema:sequence, http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema:choice, http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema:all, http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema:attribute, http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema:attributeGroup, http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema:anyAttribute.
- Report from 'XML Schema' is 'The root element of a W3C XML Schema should be <schema> and its namespace should be 'http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema'.'.

Can anybody help me get a web reference added to the vtiger web services in Visual Studio (2005, 2008 or 2010)? I have tried adding a reference but nothing seems to work. What do I need to do to use the web services with .NET?
