Hi Asha,

Thanks for the reply.

I think for this particular case I also only see it really being 
valuable for the Lead Conversion process.

It is for those scenarios where a group (Role) of sales people are only 
allowed to work on Leads but the workflow requires them to convert these 
Leads and then another sales team has the privilege to work on 
Contacts/Accounts etc.

I would give this a lower priority than the other one of separating the 
Create and Edit privileges.
