Sorry...

I think it was an error in the vtiger system I was testing on. It seems 
as though I had managed to remove the mandatory requirement on the 
Company field some time ago...

On new installs of 5.1.0, 5.2.0 and 5.2.1 the Company field __is__ 
mandatory.

My apologies for the noise.
