Hi Brett,

I didn't explicitly state it, but we plan to use our blogs to gather feedback from the developer and user community to prioritize the near term feature set and release timetable.

I've watched Joe's frustration over the last few months, and it's ahuge shame. The projects he has worked on, and had to step away from, would have been tremendous additions to the project.

To be frank, the 5.0.3 release goal was to make the platform robust. This was done at the expense of delaying the features. Now, as we start planning for the next release, you will soon find more communication from us to help shortlist a few forge projects that could be taken up for integration. Also, if we can make it easier in the platform for users to easily add/remove vtiger forge modules, it might go a long way in addressing some concerns.

If your primary focus really is developing partnerships, I'm a littlesurprised to see this is your first post here and that you'll begetting back to us over the next few weeks. I would have thought thatwe'd all have had personal contact from you already with the objectivebeing to meet us and see how each of us can help.

Well, guess i am a slow starter! Kidding aside, while it might not be practical to meet each one, i certainly hope to meet some of you in the coming days and weeks, as i hit the road. Meanwhile, i welcome your feedback & thoughts. If you are available to talk, please suggest a time that works for you.

Regards,
Sreenivas

It would be great if the language and actions reflected a communitycentric approach to the project too. For example, collaboration on theroadmap would be better than the vtiger team just sharing it with us...;-)

I implore you to engage your regional advocates with the utmostpriority - especially Joe. I look forward to seeing an announcementabout a strategic alliance formed with tsolucio within days... ;-)

Sorry this is a tad negative. I look forward to tremendous positivecommunications with you over the next week...

Thanks,

At the outset, i would like to put any doubts to rest. We value thecontributions from the community and strongly feel that vtiger'ssuccess will ride on it. As far as the roadmap, and merging communitycontributions, i agree that we need to do a better job at communicatingour plans and the status. vtiger user base is growing and so is thedeveloper and partner community. Some of these issues can be attributedto the growing pains. We understand the need to address this.

I have joined vtiger a few weeks back with the primary focus ondeveloping partnerships with companies like yours. Like you said in this forumpost: "imagine EVERY vtigerCRM install in the world, with all their needs waiting in line for one company to satisfy themall", i am here to just avoid that!

I hope to talk to you and understand your objectives. Pleasesuggest a time that works for you (i am in california)

Also, since this is my first post to this list, let me take thisopportunity to thank all the contributors. We will strive to keep youinformed about our plans. In the coming weeks and months we will besharing more details about the roadmap on our blog.

Regards,
Sreenivas

      Hello,

I would like somebody on the vtiger team to contact me and tell me what
to do.
I am recieveing signs of "get out of here" and I don't know if it is
just me that is understanding the wrong message.
If it is the correct message, could you please be clear and tell it to
me straight, I can leave if you want me to, no problem, no regret.
I am willing to play by your rules, but I need to know what those rulesare.
I still believe we could get farther together, but if you don't, it'sOK.

Thank you.
Joe. TSolucio
