[Vtigercrm-developers] Merge contacts via webform in vtiger 8.3

I have a webform to populate data to Contacts module. Some times the same
client fill the form around 2 or 3 times, so I activate the duplicate
handling for this module based on Last Name.

I think that if activate the option "Prefer external record" it will delete
the past record but not. It only alert me that its duplicated.

My question is: Someone achieve to delete previous record or if better just
to merge all the data?
