[Vtigercrm-developers] Layout goes for a toss if Autogenerated field is involved

Autogenerated field types are not visible in the Create/Edit view. This
leads to few issues:

1. The UI is not consistent as per design in Layout Editor, the field
positions changes in Create/Edit and Detail view

2. Autogenerated field values are unique, so if we are editing a record,
should not be the field's value visible (in a readonly fashion). It helps
in Data Entry if the user needs to be sure about which record is being
edited.


Moreover, should the fields be adjusted and layout changed based on the
permission in fields etc?

Rather, user like it be in the same position as in Layout Editor, if user
does not have permission for a given field, the UI should not be disturbed.
