We're running the open source edition of Vtiger, and in our limited testing, the app has worked reasonably well. When you launch the app, you're prompted for the URL and your login details. Don't forget to add the https:// to the URL when you enter it.

We find the official VTiger Android app to work well. I haven't found a decent one for iOS yet, sadly. I haven't tried any of the paid ones, but the few free ones out there don't work that well. Many apps, on both platforms, either refuse to work because they're old, or don't handle custom fields at all. For our setup, at least, no custom field support is a deal-breaker.
