[Vtigercrm-developers] Picklist and readonly

Not sure the way to achieve following:

Manager have access to role based picklist and changing its value to
"approved". From this moment user (subordinate) should not be able to
change this particular record but view it only.
Is it something we can figure out jingling with profiles/roles/groups? Or
it need some custom approach?
