[Vtigercrm-developers] Vtiger 7 preview

I know what you mean.

This preview seems to me like a start point version used ago before the ondemand 7 version with a bit of adapts because fixes already done in 6.5 or older are missing again.

Why not develop version 7 from version 6 instead? This seems like two separate projects.

What is the plan to "merge" this two branches (6 and 7)? Review all fixe’s and contributions from git again to see if still valid in vt7? And the old layout (vlayout), is to stop development?

Anyway, its a good start to preview, but, again, this kind of development in open source needs a better handling in terms of moderation.
Why not give some git permissions to some people that still active in the community “you know who they are” (if they are interested) to aprove commits etc?

Vt 6.6 in not finished yet and seems important as lots of improvements like "View Edit Create” separation, reset passwords for customers, issues still without review in git etc etc.

There would be issues, there are some uncovered in the first round by some of our developers.

We expect that they would be fixed by GA, its not to anyone's benefit to list them out now.
