Hi Stacey
Stripe <https://stripe.com/connect>is an American company that allows both
private individuals and businesses to accept payments over the Internet. It
seems like authorized to keep CC information stored. To store CC
information they must have PCI Compliance
PCI compliance ( Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) is a
proprietary information security standard for organizations that handle
branded credit cards from the major card schemes including Visa,
MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB, and China UnionPay.
I believe the cc details are directly sent to stripe from vtiger rather
than temporirly storing in vtiger storage, which might not be accepted by
stripe.
Thanks
