Glad I brought this subject to discussion
You did a great work in terms of flexibility.
I’m just suggesting. As you said, you don’t have more time at the moment to spend on this.
If you can and when you can, would be great to have in the warning, the description of the field that already exist.
Let me explain:
At the moment if you have two or more fields to check and because it´s one warning per field duplicated would be a great to display the next information "Attention ! The record (etc) or with the field (Last Name) already exists”
Or simply show the name of the field because sometimes gets confusing if you type and change field edit fast and the Warning comes later with some delay
