[Vtigercrm-developers] Related list and record operation

Yes that is a little frustrating, I agree.

Also when you create a new item from a related list it takes you back to
the parent item on save rather than the related list or the new item. This
is really confusing. Usually when you create a new item it takes you to
that item after you click save.
