[Vtigercrm-developers] onChange event handler ?

Hi All,

I'm using VT6.

While editing or creating a new entity, I need to populate a custom field
with data from a related entity when selecting a specific value in a
picklist.

I don't see how to do this with workflow or event handler as both require an
action such as save/create/delete to perform the operation, it looks like
there is no "onChange" option.

I think that I need to copy/clone something like the function in Edit View
that grab address from related account/contact when creating a
quote/invoice/saleorder but I'm having difficulties to understand how it
works and which files are involved.

Can someome point me in the right direction ?
