Unfortunately the link you provided does not assist. The information is very basic and does little more than an introduction. Much of the insides of vtiger is very opaque.

Is there some documentation which provides details about manifest.xml

I am attempting to create a new module based on the tickets module.

Is there a guide I can use? The very general information available is far from comprehensive and I am wasting a significant amount of time stepping through code each time it fails.

In particular where can I find details about what can and what SHOULD be specified in schema.xml
