[Vtigercrm-developers] VT6 Mail Manager

I thought I'd better check the Mail Manager in VT6 before I went too far 
on the "why does it work so badly" campaign...

I set the Outgoing mail server - fine. (I get a message telling me it's 
all working)

I went to Mail manager and configured my IMAP email account.

The "Loading Inbox" throbber never leaves the screen... It's modal so I 
can't do anything else but click the back button in my browser a few 
times and wait... And wait... And wait...

Why is it so slow?

Then eventually I can navigate away from the Mail Manager screen. I then 
go back again it seems OK - no throbber constantly throbbing.

So now I'd like to compose an email.

Why can't I just enter an email address in the To: box? Wht must I 
select first the Module, then wait for a popup, then search for the 
{Lead, Contact etc.}

I create an email and click send.

Instead of it going I get "SMTP Connect() failed." message and the email 
never arrives at the Leads email account. *HOWEVER* When I look at the 
Lead record, there are copies of the email that never got sent telling 
me it was sent.

Man, is it any wonder why no one uses the built-in email client...
