I have not tried it in 6 yet. Nor will I for a while.

But please feel free to port it to version 6 yourself and commit your 
work to a branch in the SVN repo.

PS - Have just fixed a major issue with the search results. This was 
picked up by a customer. I will roll a new module package later today 
but the changes are committed to trunk now.
