That makes sense, as long as the Contract's relation to the Sale Order 
can be readily "discovered" by the users.

Of course, I should have said here it might be that the user wants to 
use one or more fields (they might be custom or standard ones). It 
shouldn't be just for custom fields.

Thanks and that is interesting.

Unfortunately we have a go live date for a new customer at the end of 
June so we will need to do something to resolve this before then. How do 
you suggest we approach this? It doesn't seem to be something we can 
achieve through vtlib so we'll probably need to modify core code to add 
support for subscription sales.
