[Vtigercrm-developers] date time field in custom module

Hi guys,

I am attempting to develop a custom module which uses the datetime type 
field ( uitype = 6 ) unfortunately despite all efforts the system is 
always saving the time as 00:00 regardless of what is filled in the time 
field which is created. My question I guess is, is this actually 
possible or is the uitype 6 not properly implemented and I need to 
create two seperate fields for date and time?
