[Vtigercrm-developers] Negative Formula Fields

I'm having problems saving changes to a Trouble Ticket record that has a negative value in a calculated field. If I clear out that value, make my changes and then save it will work and recalculate that field. 

Is there a better way to handle this? How do I tell Vtiger to accept this field as a negative number.
