[Vtigercrm-developers] Pick list and html specialchars

I can't use pick lists if there is a value with a special char for 
example < & or ü.
For text entries in text fields it works without any problems only pick 
lists are affected.
I guess it's because of htmlspecialchars() or htmlentities().

There is a bug ticket about a related problem.

I attached an image for easy understanding.
I'm using mysql and UTF 8.

It would be nice to know where i can fix this problem.
