[Vtigercrm-developers] New "module" in the Action area?

One of our clients is interested in adding a small extension to vtiger 
that is basically an iframe window that uses Javascript/Ajax to display 
data from another service.

We'd like to add this "window" to all Detail View Screens of several 
modules in the right column similar to how the Tag cloud is displayed.

What would be the recommended way to do this as I do not think that 
vtlib provides the necessary APIs to create something there; or does it?
