[Vtigercrm-developers] Enhancement to email notifications

I was looking at this thread again and looking to see if the 'hack' 
could be improved at all. (As a reminder this is where I added a URL to 
the notification emails, so a user can simply click on a link rather 
than having to then manually search for the relevant record).

In include/utils/CommonUtils.php the function sendNotificationToOwner() 
is the one that generates the mails for new or updated entities... At 
least that is what I thought until I looked a bit more closely.

This function *only* generates messages for Contacts, Accounts and 
Potentials. Now obviously there are a great many more modules including 
events & todos, that I would have thought should be included.

Is there a good reason why the other modules are not catered for here?
