hi,

as you can read, we try to push towards a better structure for upcoming event 
around vtiger.

ATM, for a stable release, i recommend you to use 4.x branch. 5.x branch is in 
beta stage/continuous development (called trunk for me :) ). Personnally, i 
really want matt will maintain 4.x.
