 On vtiger 6.1.0 a customer reported the following:

 "When I make a global search  the  system comes with the search in all
 modules, not only the one module I ask it to search in. What do I do
 wrong?"

 This is the case. Set the global search picklist to "Organisations".
 Enter your search string in the box and click the search button.

 The results are displayed for all modules.

 The only way to filter is to open the Advanced search, remove the
 conditions, then click the search button. It seems the picklist next to
 the search box only affects the advanced search option. This is confusing
 to users.
