 Create a new filter in Calendar with taking status field. Now create a
 home page widget for Calendar take status field in the widget.Now check
 the widget , although it will show the status field heading but it will
 not show the information.

 Also in the home page widget it is showing those records which are not
 part of the filter from which the widget is created.For e.g create a
 filter in Calendar with Advanced filter condition '''Status not equals to
 Held''' now check the widget it will show the events which are Held.
