 You can reproduce the issue using the following steps[[BR]]

 1-->Create a report for Accounts module and select Sales Order as
 secondary module.

 2-->At step-7(filter) give the advanced filter condition on sales Order
 Contacts name field for e.g.[[BR]]

 (sales Order)contact name ends with Mary.

 3-->Check the report it will show you all the accounts and sales order
 records although it suppose to show only those records where contact name
 for sales order ends with Mary.[[BR]]

 If you will create a report for sales order and will put condition for
 Contacts name then it will work fine,But if sales Order is a  secondary
 module in the report and you will give advanced filter condition for
 contact name field it will not work accordingly.
