<p>I've already said it many times but will repeat that again - basic functionalities should be a part of the engine. What "vtexperts' do kills the project. Vtiger also publishes defective functionalities although they have them ready in On Demand and it will also kill the project from the time perspective. As far as I remember, this topic was already mentioned by Joe or Alan when they talked about the global search and said that every feature can be for a payment. Obviously, in a short-term perspective, both Vtiger and the authors of add-ons will earn some money... but at what cost?</p>
<p>For me Vtiger as a clean system isn't enough to use in any company, it's unfinished, faulty, and crippled. The way search, calendar, or mail work by default, makes me question whether it still is open source, or is it a place to make money on the end users. If this is what Vtiger is aiming at then it's wonderful news for us! Over 60 commercial modules from https://marketplace.vtiger.com/app/listings are included in our fork as free modules, which means that if there really is a will - there's a way.</p>
<p>One day I'll put together a summary titled "how many thousands of dollars you need to spend in order to start using an open source system – on the example of Vtiger"</p>

Anyway we develop modules first of all for our customers, we sell it to other only to get money to invest more in growthing of modules! It's not our core business.</div>
