Firstly this error message is very badly wrong, it should say "fewer" rather than "less".<br>
<br>
Secondly, why??? Can't this be configurable or implemented in a way that it goes to some kind of batch processing if there are more than 500 things to edit. Maybe replace it with a warning that it may take some time to complete rather than just block the edit.<br>
