Hello Joe :-)

What we need is to be able to assign two users to the same project and all dependent modules but one user will have different privileges than other. This structure is for one charity stuff and one volunteer. there is few reasons to make it this way instead of other solutions as you mentioned. Thing is that once they using groups the charity volunteer (with lower level of privileges) will see other data related to his leader from charity directly. I read forum and here is some similar cases but looks like no solution yet. Thinking that two users assigned to particular record might be comfortable idea. On the other hand it will reduce operations for admin who anyway is busy as it is rather small group of good guys who trying to change the world. I am volunteer too so asking here for help hoping to find similar person :-)

Stacey, try taking a step back and
telling us what requirement you need to implement instead of how
you implemented it, maybe that way we can give you some
constructive opinions.

Note that:

1.- it is not easy at all to add additional users to a record by
coding
2.- groups and permission system is pretty flexible
3.- losing sleep and being in a hurry is bad policy :-) you need
to take your time one step at a time, inform your client, charity
should understand that more than others...
to the record more than one user. I managed to create
additional user field within Projects (it will need to
be in more modules) but it doesnt mean that this
particular record will be assigned to two users.
