A quick look at the PDF makes me think that you should make the modules private and assign the records (project) to the volunteer and that the charity staff would be in a superior hierarchy role so he would have access to all the information. Then a uitype 101 or similar field (which you probably already have) to indicate the second user for reporting,<br>

That way you leave all the permission rules to vtiger crm and use a second user field only for reporting.<br>

Thing is that once they using groups the charity volunteer (with lower level of privileges) will see other data related to his leader from charity directly. I read forum and here is some similar cases but looks like no solution yet. Thinking that two users assigned to particular record might be comfortable idea. On the other hand it will reduce operations for admin who anyway is busy as it is rather small group of good guys who trying to change the world. I am volunteer too so asking here for help hoping to find similar person :-)<br />

1.- it is not easy at all to add additional users to a record by
coding<br />
2.- groups and permission system is pretty flexible<br />
3.- losing sleep and being in a hurry is bad policy :-) you need
to take your time one step at a time, inform your client, charity
