Well, I don't know if that will do the trick for you, but, take a look at the vtiger_loginhistory. There, you'll find the "logout_time" field, if it's values is 0000-00-00 00:00:00 means that the user didn't log out, so, I think you could tell that the session is still active.<br>

Although this was true, it did not help as I still need to know
where to look in the database to verify if the session is still
active. I have not looked further into this issue at the moment so
will need to do that in the future, if anyone knows where this
information is stored that would be beneficial to me.<br>
