I was fighting this last week! My shared host must have changed
something, as I had set my mail server to my normal email client
address. After their changes, it didn't work.<br>
<br>
After much searching on the forums, I found my solution was to set
the mail server as localhost.<br>
<br>
Give that a go.<br>

the username and pwd are the same for the incoming and
outgoing server so what is the problem. The server
outgoing port is 25 and it all is up and running...just
not working with my installation of vtiger.<br>

any hints as to where I should check as to this problem
would be greatly appreciated.<br>
