[Vtigercrm-developers] can't download reports in CSV format

Hi everyone,

I recently upgraded a client's vtiger from 6.3 to 7.4. Shortly after, they
reported that they could not download reports in CSV format (Excel export
is working just fine). The problem is something like this:

I googled it and found this fix:

and tried it out.

This is the function that does the downloading:

Removing the +8 in line 861 solved the problem.

I could reproduce it in various vtiger 7.4 instances that I host. However I
could not reproduce the error in the official demo.

So, should the +8 just be removed for good? Or would that introduce
new/different bugs?
Also, what is the explanation for that behavior?
