[Vtigercrm-developers] Possible to add variables to URL when creating new record?

Hi again all you clever people ;-)

Is it possible to somehow add variables for fields to prefill fields? Ie.
lets say I want to create a new contact inside normal Vtiger 7.x and want
to somehow prefill "lead source" with a value, would that be possible in
the URL directly somehow?

(or would I alternatively need to make some small JS that would catch the
&CF_xx=123 and fill it in?)
