[Vtigercrm-developers] Linking Contact to multiple organisations?

Our advice in this scenario has always been to add 2x Contacts. As their contact details will be (or typically are) different depending upon which organisation you are contacting them about, then it makes its simpler to store them that way!

Hi there,

I have a "classic" question I feel ;)

How do you handle a contact being involved in multiple companies? Perhaps working part time 2 places, or working in Company A and being on the board of Company B?

I know I can of course just add a field more to a contact relating the contact to an organisation, but just curious about what solutions the rest of you clever people use?

The options I can come up with are:

1) Ignore it, say its never possible (and if client insist, tell them to make multiple contacts)

2) Add 1:1 field more like "Second organisation" to the contact, allowing for a second? (And what then if there are 3-4-5 other organisations)

3) Add a more "messy" M:M relation to contacts?

Other ideas? Which do you prefer?
