[Vtigercrm-developers] shared record

When you say 'share with another User' what exactly does this mean? We have
had requests previously by clients to allow records to be Assigned To
multiple Users - is this the suggested solution here? We tried a custom
solution (on vTiger 6.2) and met with limited success as we found so many
areas of the code that link to the assigned to user, that to change all of
them was too big a task to undertake. The main areas that caused issues
were linked to WebService functionality, and Workflows (conditions, and
sending emails etc).
But it is something that we have had enquiries about whether it is possible
to do or not from several clients, so if possible would be a very good
feature to include.
Or does 'sharing' mean something else?
