[Vtigercrm-developers] Changing default view for all users

Hi, Thanks for all the follow-ups.

However, this still doesn't work. I've tried a number of other things and
continually just keep coming up against obstacles.

Here is what I've since tried:

1. I've tried the Custom View enhancement script
(http://code.vtiger.com/vtiger/vtigercrm/issues/57).
This hasn't worked, for a couple of reasons:
a. Setting the default flag does set the flag in the table, but this doesn't
assign the default view to all users. (This is the same as setting it
directly in the tables but it doesn't work).
b. The Edit View option using this enhancement does not always work. For the
majority of the views it just returns a blank page. For 'some' of the views
it works OK.

2. I've paid for the cheap extension from the store and set this up. It does
indeed let me change the fields on the All View. However, it doesn't allow
me to apply conditions to this.

So I'm back to the start:

I want to create a custom view, with a custom name, with conditions applied,
make this custom view public and then set it as the default view for all
users, unless they override it.

Am I correct in thinking that this just isn't possible? I don't want to have
to login as every single user (50+) and set a custom default view for all of
them that is the same across 10 different modules.

Thanks, Paddy
