[Vtigercrm-developers] Debugging Mail Manager

In a new fresh install of vtiger 7.0.1  on ubuntu 16.0.4 server.

I am getting a list of folders and email counts but not the emails in 
Mail Manager.  Is there a method of debug for this other than vtiger 
logs and firebug, which reports of a 500 server error on lists.js.

I am probably  a php module or a tweak on the server that I have 
missed.  Incidently, every other client (Thunderbird, Round cube and 
Suitercrm) has no problems with displaying.

Any pointers would be appreciated.
