Assigning several different users to a record is something the majority
of companies need, that's why this mechanism would be essential in
Vtiger. Unfortunately it would require many changes on many levels, and
therefore a change like this has to be thought-through and well
designed. Instead of purchasing commercial modules, which tend to be
expensive and/or poorly written, you should chip in and add these
mechanisms to the system engine. 

Is this a lot of work? It would take 3 ~ 5 days for a decent programmer,
and it would be useful for everyone. It took us around 4 days together
with the fixes. If the module you link costs $250 then it wouldn't be
long before the costs were reimbursed. It's enough to find 2 ~3 people
willing to do it, and additionally, the new mechanism would work much
better than what you can get for $250.
